Journey Highlights & Overview

Jim Corbett National Park:
Nestled in the Himalayan foothills, Jim Corbett National Park is among India’s most iconic wilderness landscapes. Its mosaic of riverine belts, grasslands, and dense sal forests provides ideal habitat for the Bengal tigerAsian elephant, and the elusive Himalayan black bear in the upper reaches. Rich birdlife and dramatic scenery enhance every safari, offering visitors a dynamic blend of predator country and Himalayan biodiversity.

This unique ecosystem supports thriving populations of the greater one-horned rhinocerosswamp deer, and formidable predators including the Bengal tiger. Kaziranga National Park:

Declared as a World Heritage Site in 1974, Kaziranga’s intense conservation program ensured an ever-growing population of the One Horned Rhino, making it a humble abode for two-third of their population. Today, 2400 Rhinos call this park their home. Kaziranga National Park is the only park outside Africa that has a breeding population of many species of cats, like, Tigers, Leopards, Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat, and Fishing Cat. A healthy population of Asian Elephants, Water Buffaloes, Eastern Swamp Deers also reside here. Yes, jeeps are safe for a tiger safari in India. The only point of understanding is that the jeep and its occupants must at all times maintain a safe distance from the wildlife around. If you hinder their space or peace, they might not like it and in turn leave the area. Always remember that you are in their territory and it is only basic courtesy to not disturb them. Do not get off your safari vehicle to click photos, do not feed them, and do not ask the driver/guide/naturalist to speed up to chase wildlife around. These are basic rules and any form of disobedience is strictly punishable.

The temperature in Indian jungles experiences fluctuations throughout the day. In the winter season, from December to February, the mornings can be quite chilly, with temperatures dropping to as low as 0-5 degrees Celsius, but the days become comfortably warmer, ranging between 15-20 degrees Celsius.
